MANILA, Philippines — EJ Laure and Buding Duremdes have formally parted ways with Chery Tiggo ahead of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference on November 9 but the Crossovers kept mum on Eya Laure’s situation.
Chery Tiggo on Tuesday evening bid farewell to longtime players Duremdes and EJ Laure, expressing their gratitude for the contributions of both players.

We are grateful for your contributions to the team and happy to have shared an epic ride with you,” the Crossovers wrote. “We wish you all the best as you move on to the next phase of your journey. EJ Laure, who started her club career with Foton in the defunct Philippine Superliga in 2016 until it turned pro as Chery Tiggo in the PVL, shared her pictures of representing the franchise for the past nine years.

Article continues after this advertisementBoth Laure and Duremdes will start fresh in the six-month PVL competition, while Eya Laure is still in the process of her contract buyout since Inquirer broke the news on October 13.
Chery Tiggo has yet to comment about the 25-year-old outside spiker as it was also reported that she could be sidelined for the next conference due to a “non-compete clause.”

After losing key players, the Crossovers bank on spikers Ara Galang, Mylene Paatbitbet, Shaya Adorador, Cess Robles, and Mary Rhose Dapol as well as liberos Jen Nierva and rookie Karen Verdeflor.
